Why did you choose to buy EFD.Lab - what were the problems that required the use of this type of tool?
To get more information about the flow field in valves and to shorten engineering time.
Prior to EFD.Lab, did your company have any experience using Computational Fluid Dynamics software?
Prior to EFD, we only did prototype testing for parameter investigation.
Which Tools did you use for fluid analysis and/or how were the required information and results acquired?
We had some small experience with CFD in the 90-ties, but results were neutral because of poor functionality and typical ‘CFD-issues’.
What were the most important reasons for purchasing EFD.Lab?
To get more feeling of design in less time!

EFD.Lab is used primarily for design optimization of new projects.
Besides that, EFD.Lab helps in fundamental research of specific flow phenomena like resonance.
How do you work with the system? (Procedure)
The first step in the procedure of flow simulations is matching EFD boundary conditions to the ones from
the testing facility for KV tests. Thereafter, doing calculations and evaluating results.
Which functions are the most useful??
The main objective for optimization is reduction of pressure loss.

What do you like most about EFD.Lab?
We like the transparent structure in definition of EFD projects. Also we profit from the quick results and the optimization.
Which competitive advantages are transparent? (Time to Market, RoI, Product Quality)
Purchase prize is high but ROI covers all expenses.

We are satisfied with EFD.Lab and the support from HEC (Holland Engineering Consultants) which is the NIKA-Reseller for Benelux.
